Longview WA is known as Tree City, USA.
Neighborhood views from River's Edge Condos.
Trees line the streets of Longview Washington, nestled at the confluence of the Cowlitz and Columbia Rivers in Southwest Washington State. Our Parks and Recreation department maintains over 16,000 trees of many varieties. Incorporated in 1924, this lovely planned city has striven to preserve it’s historical past in the midst of modern conveniences and is now designated a “Main Street” city.
Monticello Camera Club is Longview’s local camera club. Its photo galleries (albums) contains lots of photos of Longview, Kelso, Cowlitz County, surrounding areas, and local activities.
Residents of Longview WA can stay in shape by exercising at the local YMCA or walking around Longview’s beautiful Lake Sacajawea. There are also great walking paths behind River’s Edge Condominiums, and River’s Edge also has an indoor exercise room.
Medical/health care facilities include St. John’s Hospital and a Kaiser Permanente medical facility.
The Columbia Theater and the McClellan Arts Center offer Longview a rich assortment of plays and concerts.
